Our client, a multi-billion international single-family office, is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead the finance and treasury operations, overseeing a global multi-asset portfolio that includes:
- Private equity and venture capital funds
- Hedge funds
- Public equities
- Fixed income instruments
- Direct investments
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the finance and treasury functions, driving the development, enhancement, and automation of processes.
- Produce regular investment reports for a diversified multi-asset portfolio, covering private equity funds, ETFs, active managers, hedge funds, fixed income products, and derivatives.
- Create and maintain financial reports to support accurate and timely decision-making.
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
- Evaluate historical and projected costs across the family office, highlighting issues and opportunities, and providing actionable insights to management.
- Manage banking relationships, supervise treasury operations, and ensure efficient liquidity management.
- Oversee and participate in the execution of payments related to both investments and operational activities.
- Collaborate with tax and legal advisors to ensure compliance and robust risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for UBOs, external advisors, and financial institutions, handling confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of accounting standards (including IFRS), financial instruments, and valuation techniques.
- Extensive experience preparing investment reports across public and private asset classes.
- Demonstrated leadership, strategic mindset and ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional integrity, confidentiality and communication skills.
- At least five years of relevant experience in investment management, family office, or investment banking settings.
- Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related technical field.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and robust financial modelling skills.
- Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA or equivalent) required.
