Role Overview

In this role, you’ll be talking and demoing to our customers and building relationships for the future. You’ll be running technical demos of the product and be a product expert for our customers. As one of the first dedicated sales hires at Lightdash, you’ll be a builder‑seller hybrid, working to transform our customer wins into a structured, repeatable sales motion.

What You Won’t Be Doing

Bringing along other folks on sales calls. You’ll be in these chats 1:1 with prospects and expected to be an expert on all things Lightdash. Rarely, engineers or analytics engineers from the team will join, but only when they’re needed for things like new product features or specific technical troubleshooting.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Bring leads from our ecosystem into the sales funnel, nurturing and building 1:1 relationships
  • Run product demos on your own without sales engineers – our customers appreciate that we speak data
  • Own the full sales cycle while documenting what works to create a scalable process for sales
  • Provide voice‑of‑customer feedback to the product team
  • Contribute to sales collateral for future deals
  • Help test and validate new sales approaches

Required Experience & Skills

  • Technical B2B startup sales experience
  • Strong analytical and documentation abilities
  • Excellent communication across technical and business stakeholders
  • Experience owning customer relationships in the past, selling $40k‑100k+ ACV deals

Nice to Have

  • Data‑driven curiosity and interest in data and analytics
  • Experience with outbound prospecting
