As the Director of Performance Marketing at Airalo, you’ll own how we deploy marketing spend to drive efficient growth. This is not a channel execution role. It’s a role focused on allocation, decision making, and building systems that scale what works. You’ll be responsible for deciding where we invest across markets and channels, how we scale, and what actually drives incremental growth. You will manage a multi‑million dollar global budget and continuously answer: “Where should the next dollar go?” This role requires making tradeoffs with imperfect data. Not every decision will be clean or obvious. The expectation is to make clear calls anyway and own the outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Own how we deploy performance marketing spend across markets and channels
  • Manage and optimize a multi‑million dollar budget to drive revenue and customer growth within CAC and payback targets
  • Build a system that moves budget quickly toward what’s working and away from what isn’t
  • Set clear rules for when to scale, test, or pull back spend
  • Translate attribution data, MMM insights, and historical performance into real budget decisions
  • Design and run incrementality tests, including geo holdouts and channel experiments
  • Work with Data to run tests that lead to clear decisions, not just directional insights
  • Define the role of each channel across the funnel and identify where each one actually works
  • Identify scaling opportunities, inefficiencies, and saturation points across channels and markets
  • Partner with Creative and Brand to improve performance through structured creative testing
  • Work closely with Data, Finance, and MarTech to align on measurement, forecasting, and tracking
  • Challenge assumptions and plans across teams to ensure we are prioritising the highest‑impact opportunities
  • Establish and enforce clear performance guardrails, including blended CAC and payback expectations

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years in performance marketing, growth, or a similar role
  • Experience managing and allocating multi‑million dollar marketing budgets
  • Strong experience across Paid Social, Search, and app‑based growth channels
  • Proven ability to make budget allocation decisions that drive measurable growth
  • Deep understanding of attribution, incrementality, and the limitations of both
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to turn data into decisions
  • Experience operating in ambiguous environments and making decisions with imperfect information
  • Clear and direct communication, with the ability to challenge and align stakeholders

Nice‑to‑Have

  • Experience with MMM or advanced measurement frameworks
  • Background in mobile‑first or app‑based businesses
  • Experience in travel, marketplaces, or global consumer products
  • Familiarity with tools such as Adjust, GA4, Firebase, or similar ecosystems
