The Role

As Chief Product Officer, you'll join the leadership team and lead our product, design, engineering, and data functions. You’ll be responsible for shaping the end-to-end user experience – from roadmap and experimentation to overseeing technical architecture and platform delivery.

We’re seeking someone with deep knowledge of the UK personal finance space, a strong product mindset, and experience scaling early-stage teams and platforms. You’ll work closely with the CEO to set strategic direction and deliver measurable customer impact.

Key Responsibilities

Product Leadership

  • Define and evolve our product vision and roadmap, balancing customer needs with commercial goals
  • Champion inclusive, evidence-based design and continuous iteration
  • Drive product-led growth by launching impactful features and optimising engagement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver value across user journeys

Technology Strategy

  • Oversee architecture decisions, technical delivery, and vendor integrations (e.g. Open Banking, benefits APIs)
  • Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and cost-efficient
  • Maintain best practices in documentation, testing, and deployment

Data & Insights

  • Lead user research initiatives – from surveys to interviews
  • Use Open Banking and internal data to deliver personalisation and predictive support
  • Ensure compliance with key standards (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001, Consumer Duty)

Team & Culture

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team across product and engineering
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, accountability, and impact
  • Represent the product and technology function with internal and external stakeholders

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have experience as a (technical) Head of Product, CPO, or similar role in a FinTech
  • Have deep understanding of the UK personal finance ecosystem – e.g. credit, budgeting, Open Banking, switching, subscriptions
  • Are confident leading teams across product, engineering, and design
  • Have hands-on product design skills (e.g. wireframes, user flows)
  • Have experience building 0→1 and 1→n products with proven results
  • Can balance user needs, business objectives, and technical trade-offs
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Are mission-driven, humble, and excited by early-stage challenges
  • Have entrepreneurial ambitions
