The Bournemouth Integrated Community Mental Health Team is looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative duties for the teams. We are looking for an organised, motivated, consistent and enthusiastic individual with excellent administrative skills to join our existing team.
Key Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will need to multi-task and work flexibly to help manage the workload of a busy Community Mental Health Team.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes including Outlook, Word, Excel, Winscribe and relevant NHS systems (Rio, Dorset Care Records, CLUES etc) is required.
- An excellent telephone manner is essential, as you will often be the first point of contact for this busy team.
- You must be able to work under pressure, have strong communication skills, and good attention to detail.
- The ability to cope with complex tasks whilst ensuring databases are kept up to date is necessary.
- The successful applicant will be required to provide efficient administrative and reception support and liaise with members of the public and a variety of professionals, both in primary and secondary care services.
- Given the nature of this service, some patients may contact us in distress, so we are looking for resilient applicants with a compassionate work ethos who can thrive with the right level of support being offered by the Team Leader.
