Dynamic Registered Nurse sought for the Community Staff Nurse role at Antistatique, covering East Dorset. Full‑time hours are available within the Crane Valley team and part‑time hours of up to 37.5 hours per week within the Ferndown team. The role has evolved to focus on complex patients in their home environments and requires skills in complex wound management, palliative and end‑of‑life care, medication management, IV drug administration, and comprehensive care planning.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide nursing care to patients at home, including diabetes management, complex wound care (e.g., compression bandaging & doppler monitoring), IV management, end‑of‑life care, injections, and pressure area care.
- Deliver a high‑quality person‑centred approach, ensuring safety, privacy and dignity.
- Conduct assessments of patient/service user care needs and develop programmes of care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Offer advice to patients and carers regarding their care.
- Plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in various settings.
- Provide supervision, mentorship and clinical support to students and junior staff.
Pass an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; the Trust covers the cost. Existing DBS update providers may present a valid DBS certificate. Applications from candidates who require current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible for this position.

Person Specification:
Essential:
- Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level
- Membership of the relevant Professional Body
- Learning and Assessing in Practice Qualification or equivalent practice assessors training
- Evidence of recent professional development in an up‑to‑date portfolio
- Able to communicate effectively at different organisational levels and with patients, carers and external organisations, both verbally and in writing, including negotiating and persuading where necessary
- Ability to use own initiative within authority
- Willingness to advance own clinical knowledge and competence based on current evidence
- Analytical and decision‑making skills to interpret conflicting information and determine appropriate action
- Supervised experience during clinical placements
- Capability to mentor students and supervise junior staff
- Trained in PMVA techniques or willingness to be trained
- Demonstrable knowledge of assessment and therapeutic interventions in practice area
- Experience of demonstrating duties to junior staff
Desirable:
- Recent previous experience within a comparable role
