Responsibilities:

  • Provide smooth running clerical and administrative service – booking appointments, answering telephone calls and greeting patients at reception desks.
  • Ensure that all data entries are made in a timely manner to support the Trust’s targets.
  • Assist and support the team to deliver a high-quality service using good clerical, communication and interpersonal skills.

In this role you will:

  • Work as a Receptionist, Call Centre Agent or Appointments Clerk with input on the role that best suits you.
  • Learn all functions and team skills with full training provided.
  • No previous hospital experience required.

To excel you will have:

  • Recent experience in an office environment in a clerical/admin capacity.
  • Customer-service experience.
  • Good communication skills with an empathetic approach.

We offer a flexible working pattern with a minimum of 27 hours per week over 3 days. Hours can be full-time or part-time. Person Specification:

  • Essential – Education, qualifications & training: General education to GCSE standard or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • Essential – Experience: Relevant and recent experience in an office environment in a clerical/admin capacity. Experience of dealing with telephone enquiries. Understanding of confidentiality.
  • Desirable: Previous experience in a Healthcare environment. Previous computer experience in a Windows environment.
  • Essential – Skills, abilities & knowledge: Good numeracy and literacy skills. Competent keyboard skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work without supervision. Ability to work as part of a team.
