Are you looking for a role that makes a difference? We are recruiting reliable and motivated Domestic Assistants to join our Facilities Team in our brand-new purpose-built 8 bed inpatient CAMHS High Intensity Environment/ PICU unit at Alumhurst Road, Bournemouth.

Cleaning duties include:

  • dusting
  • cleaning of lavatories and basins
  • kitchen cleaning
  • vacuuming carpeted floors/mopping of clinical floors
  • cleaning of clinical areas
  • internal windows/glass panels
  • replenishing product dispensers
  • wiping of window blinds
  • ensuring the National Cleaning Standards are constantly maintained

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out cleaning duties across the site to NHS cleaning standards as required by the cleaning rota.
  • Support weekly duties and assist in delivering items throughout the site.
  • Full training, support and uniform will be provided; shadowing current staff to become confident in the role.

Shift Pattern and Benefits:

  • 1 x 26 hours per week, Friday to Monday, 6.5 hours per day, 10.30pm – 5.30pm.
  • 2 x 15 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, 10.30am – 6.30pm.
  • There may be a need to change this pattern to work flexibly within the team to cover the needs of the service.
  • Additional hours are usually available to cover annual leave and sickness absence.
  • Any additional weekend hours attract enhanced pay.
  • Generous annual leave allowance included.

Requirements:

  • Cleaning duties across the site, working to NHS cleaning standards, as the cleaning rota requires.
  • Employment in this post requires an Enhanced DBS check; the Trust will cover the cost.
  • Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available. Please ensure you hold valid right to work in the UK and will not require sponsorship if successful.
