This is a full-time, on-site Sales Account Manager role based in Bury St Edmunds. The Sales Account Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts, developing strong relationships with key stakeholders across target industries. Daily responsibilities include:
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Generating and qualifying leads
- Preparing quotes and proposals
- Presenting tailored ESD solutions that align with customer requirements
- Monitoring account performance
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Coordinating with internal teams on pricing, inventory, and logistics
- Responding promptly to inquiries and issues
- Maintaining accurate CRM records
- Forecasting sales
- Contributing to continuous improvement of sales processes and customer experience
Qualifications:
- Proven Account Management experience with a focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service
- Demonstrated ability in Lead Generation, prospecting, and pipeline development in a B2B environment
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and confident client presentations
- Experience selling technical or industrial products; ESD, electronics, or manufacturing sector experience is an advantage
- Ability to analyse customer needs, interpret technical requirements, and recommend appropriate product or service solutions
- Comfortable working with CRM systems (Salesforce ideally), sales reporting tools, and basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with operations, procurement, and customer support teams
- Preferred: prior experience in supply chain solutions, managed services, or value-based solution selling
- Preferred: relevant qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
