A market leading company based in Bootle is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor/Team Leader to join their growing company. Part of a global group, my client specialises in the manufacture and supply of award-winning composite doors and fire doors for commercial and residential markets. The company is going from strength to strength with exciting growth plans for their UK site. As a result of this, they are growing their CNC/Machining teams and are seeking a Production Supervisor/Team Leader to lead their 6am - 2pm shift (Monday to Friday).
Your role will involve:
- Ensuring all products are made to specification
- Driving KPIs and accountability for the team
- Leading and promoting better working practices and improvements
- Quality assurance/control
- Responsible for training and development of the team
- Focusing on producing a quality product, in line with the production planning schedule whilst ensuring targets are met
- Working hands-on with the machines if there is a staff shortage for any reason
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- Team supervision experience is a necessity
- CNC machining experience is ideal
- Wood, composite, injection moulding, furniture experience would be useful
- Other machine knowledge such as beam saws, edge banders would be beneficial
- Enthusiasm to help improve production processes
- Knowledge of lean principles and 5S
- Good communication skills
This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday on a morning shift, offering excellent career opportunities too.
