Role Summary: This is an amazing opportunity for a Junior Planner to join our Anthropologie Head Office team. Anthropologie is a dynamic and hugely expanding womenswear retailer that prides itself on being creatively unique and of high quality. The role of the Junior Planner is to maximize sales and profit by developing sound merchandise plans that support Company goals for sales, turn and margin.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting the merchandiser with the smooth running of the division, taking ownership of multiple areas and being able to independently plan and trade these areas.
- Responsible for generating analysis to help support buying decisions.
- Monitor and evaluate sales of current styles on a weekly basis, partnering with the buyer and Planner to effectively manage receipts and inventory.
- Create seasonal strategies, alongside buying, combining lessons learnt and aligning with brand strategy to drive future opportunity.
- Identify inventory levels needed to support the rate of sale and the markdown strategy for a merchandise area based on sell-through percent, WOS, and planned product life span.
- Experience of using a WSSI – managing and reforecasting sales and intake weekly across multiple areas.
- Manage markdown and promotional strategy for your areas.
- Manage and progress an allocator.
- Implementing and exploiting new systems and processes.
- Managing product flow – setting up for new seasons, ensuring accuracy at all times, highlighting key changes weekly.
- Working with the allocator to ensure effective distribution of stock to potentialize performance across channels.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience as a Junior Merchandiser or Senior Assistant Merchandiser.
- Strong understanding of retail merchandising concepts and applications.
- Strong statistical analysis skills.
- Proactive and enthusiastic with strong interest in the retail market.
- Excellent organizational, prioritizing and problem-solving skills key to meeting deadlines.
- Flexibility & adaptability.
- Ability to work well within a small team environment.
- Technical skills including proficiency with Excel.
