As a Product Manager for Public Sector Deployments, you will partner with engineers and researchers to tailor existing products and/or build new ones to serve public sector customers. You will play a critical role in identifying and executing on opportunities to innovate, differentiate, and scale our application and developer products for these customers. You’ll do so both directly with public sector customers and through highly strategic partnerships, all while maintaining our best-in-class safety standards and overall mission objectives. The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about crafting scaled, highly impactful, safe and beneficial artificial intelligence technologies. You should have a proven track record of working with developer users, understanding their needs, and building products they love.
Responsibilities:
- Conceive and execute on a product vision and strategy for our public sector customers.
- Conduct user research by engaging directly with customers and partners, through interviews, surveys, forum participation, and more to understand their pain points and requirements.
- Synthesize user insights into actionable product requirements, user stories, and product specifications.
- Analyze product usage data and feedback to measure product success, surface friction, and uncover new opportunities.
- Represent the public sector perspective and advocate for their needs across the organization.
- Communicate product roadmap, releases, and value propositions to developer users.
- Collaborate and lead effectively across Anthropic, working with stakeholders in Research, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Operations, Policy, and Trust & Safety teams.
You may be a good fit if you have:
- 8+ years of experience as a Product Manager in relevant domains.
- Strong technical aptitude to understand API architecture, LLMs, and SaaS products.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging data to make strategic, business decisions.
- Successfully launched zero-to-one products that have found distribution or commercial success.
- The ability to navigate and execute amidst ambiguity, and to flex into different domains based on the business problem at hand, finding simple, easy-to-understand solutions.
- Excitement for engaging in cross-organizational collaboration, working through trade-offs, and balancing competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey complicated topics in easily understandable terms to a diverse set of external and internal stakeholders.
- Passion for thinking creatively about how to use technology in a way that is safe and beneficial, and ultimately furthers the goal of advancing safe AI systems.
- A U.S. Government-sponsored security clearance (preferred, but not required).
