About The Role

As an Enterprise Account Executive, Public Sector based in London, you’ll drive the adoption of safe, frontier AI technology across the UK and Northern Europe public sector — with a primary focus on UK Central Government departments, executive agencies, and arm's length bodies. You’ll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, working with senior public sector leaders to help them modernise operations, improve policy delivery, and transform citizen services with Anthropic's AI solutions. This is a foundational role in establishing Anthropic's presence and credibility within the UK government ecosystem, with a reach extending across Northern European public sector markets.

Responsibilities

  • Own and exceed revenue targets by winning new accounts and expanding relationships across UK Central Government departments, executive agencies, and affiliated organisations, while also building pipeline with devolved administrations, local government, and Northern European public sector bodies.
  • Build and execute territory plans with a clear prioritisation framework — identifying high‑value opportunities across priority departments and Cabinet Office digital transformation programmes.
  • Lead consultative sales processes with senior government stakeholders — including Directors General, Deputy Secretaries, Senior Responsible Owners, and Chief Digital & Information Officers — positioning AI as a driver for policy analysis, operational efficiency, digital government transformation, and improved public service delivery.
  • Orchestrate internal teams (Product, Engineering, Applied AI, Partnerships) to deliver solutions that meet the stringent security, compliance, and data sovereignty requirements of UK Central Government, including alignment with NCSC guidelines, Cyber Essentials Plus, and the Government Security Classifications framework.
  • Navigate UK public procurement with confidence, including G-Cloud, the AI Dynamic Purchasing System (AI DPS), and Crown Commercial Service frameworks, working with systems integrators and delivery partners to ensure Anthropic's solutions are positioned effectively within government buying processes.

The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary £195,000—£280,000 GBP.

Logistics

  • Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Location‑based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
  • Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren’t able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
