Responsible for addressing all renovation and service-related customer needs related to pool plumbing and equipment, including minor repairs, opening and closing of the pool, shell winterization, repair of pool equipment and accessories, complete removal of old equipment, installation of new equipment, leak diagnostics, skimmer replacement, collapsed line replacement, and light installation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform comprehensive pool service operations, including spring openings, fall winterizations, advanced water testing and chemical balancing, and the safe handling, transport, and application of pool chemicals in accordance with manufacturer and company guidelines.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace pool equipment and components, including pumps, filters, heaters, pool lights, skimmers, plumbing lines, and safety covers, ensuring all installations meet manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and inspections, including pressure testing and leak diagnostics, to identify and resolve mechanical or structural pool issues.
- Maintain accurate and timely service documentation, ensuring all work performed, materials used, and customer interactions are properly recorded per company standards.
- Communicate effectively with construction and warranty teams, providing clear recommendations and technical insight related to customer service claims and field findings.
- Support training and safety compliance in the field, assisting with the onboarding and in-field training of new technicians while ensuring adherence to SOPs and safety procedures.
- Maintain company vehicle and inventory, including cleanliness, proper maintenance, and accurate stocking and tracking of tools, equipment, and chemicals.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
- Licenses/Certifications: NESP CMS & CMT preferred.
- Years of Experience: 10+ years of pool plumbing experience. Expert level required.
- Required Skills & Abilities: Mechanical aptitude and problem solving, excellent organizational skills, quick learner, results oriented, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal communication skills, team player with customer focus, self-motivated.
Travel Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel 90%.

- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions, ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; often greater than 30 pounds, ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, ability to operate heavy machinery or tools (with or without assistive devices), ability to wear required PPE (e.g., hard hats, safety boots, gloves), ability to communicate promptly and clearly via phone and computer, ability to drive or travel between job sites as needed.
