The Search team at Anthony Nolan supports both UK and overseas transplant centres in the identification of the best possible stem cell donor for their patients. We provide search reports for UK and international registries for unrelated adult donors, as well as for cord blood units. We facilitate the provision of blood samples from donors who have been selected for further investigation and ensure that the Transplant Centres have all the information they require to determine their final choice of donor for transplantation.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual who wants to apply their scientific knowledge and experience to save the lives of people with blood cancer.

Essential attributes:
  • A proven ability to manage competing priorities, using effective time management and adaptability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills to build rapport with a range of colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously using own initiative.
  • Ability to concentrate and work under pressure.
  • Desire to learn and improve.
  • A university degree in Biology or Biomedical sciences or equivalent.

You’re a motivated, fast learner, with a strong eye for detail and a natural flair for problem solving. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and take pride in delivering reliable, high‑quality results at pace.
