We are looking for a Research Governance Lead (Maternity Cover) to join our Quality and Regulation team. Title: Research Governance Lead Salary: £34,000 – £37,000 per annum Contract: 12 months fixed-term (maternity cover) Hours: 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE, 4-day working week) Location: Hybrid, with head office in Hampstead, London (1 – 2 days per week on-site) Job Summary We need a Research Governance Lead (RGL) to join the team for up to 12 months to continue to develop and implement our research governance framework whilst providing expert advice and guidance to all researchers and research teams. Expanding our research at Anthony Nolan is key in helping to achieve our organisational vision of unlocking new ways to treat every patient. The Anthony Nolan research strategy was launched in 2023 to focus on delivering pioneering research that transforms patient survival, quality of life and equity. Research at Anthony Nolan is carried out by multiple teams within the Anthony Nolan Research Institute and other departments across the organisation, such as Patient Services who are developing a portfolio of social and behavioural science research. The Research Office has been established since the launch of the research strategy to support Anthony Nolan researchers with the development and maintenance of their research. This role will work as a core member of the Research Office to develop and improve governance processes related to all research carried out by Anthony Nolan; this will include the updating and implementation of processes in line with the changes to the UK Clinical Trials Regulations. The RGL will work closely with the Quality and Regulation and Research Office teams to enable and support all research governance needs across the organisation. The RGL will provide specialist advice, guidance and training to staff members on research governance and research integrity, where required. The role will lead on coordinating and managing the development, implementation, and education of research governance policies and processes to ensure Anthony Nolan's compliance.Having an eye for continuous improvement the RGL will ensure the research governance processes are efficient, fit for purpose and updated in line with any changes to the national and other relevant standards and code of conduct. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic professional, with strong working experience of GCP, MHRA, and other regulatory and ethical guidelines, as well as experience of developing and implementing research governance and sponsor processes to ensure compliance. The desired candidate will have experience in supporting researchers with ethical and regulatory submissions. We are looking for excellent attention to detail and effective time management with an ability to manage large and varied workloads. An individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong IT skills, and an ability to work independently as well as part of a team. What's in it for you?
