We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our Quality and Regulation team.
Title: Quality Manager
Salary: £40,000 – £44,000 per annum dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)
Location: Hybrid, with head office in Hampstead, London (2 days per week on-site)
Job Summary
The Quality Manager will drive the quality agenda within the Anthony Nolan Stem Cell Registry. They will work with colleagues within the Quality Team and the Stem Cell Registry Team to maintain compliance with relevant regulation and accreditation standards, currently the Human Tissue Authority (HTA ) and the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA ). This is a unique opportunity to support a Stem Cell Registry as a member of the quality and regulation team in a dynamic organization striving to improve patients\’ lives daily.
This role is vital for the organization. It is essential that the individual maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant quality standards (HTA & WMDA) and quality management skills. They will refine and review the quality management road map and deliver a comprehensive quality education program to ensure colleagues in the registry are informed of compliance requirements and understand their roles.
We seek a motivated, enthusiastic professional with experience working in a highly regulated healthcare environment. The candidate should excel at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory and accreditation bodies. They should be a self-starter and confident communicator, capable of influencing and negotiating to ensure compliance with the quality management system while providing registry services. Understanding the complexities of working in a busy registry environment is crucial.
Essential Attributes
- BSc in Biological Sciences or an equivalent science is desirable but not essential.
- Extensive experience in quality management within an accredited and/or licensed healthcare establishment.
- Strong IT skills, proficiency in preparing and presenting QMS data, auditing, and reporting; experience with Ideagen Q-Pulse software is desirable.
- Certified training or experience as an auditor, including conducting audits, preparing checklists, and delivering audit reports.
- Experience managing significant change projects within an accredited or licensed establishment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including chairing meetings and preparing data and dashboards for QMS discussions.
- Effective time management skills and ability to handle large, varied workloads.
- Good understanding of UK legislation and quality standards relevant to Anthony Nolan, e.g., Human Tissue Act.
