We are looking for a PR & Communications Senior Officer (Research and Policy) to join our Communications and Engagement team.
Role details
Title: PR & Communications Senior Officer (Research and Policy)
Salary: £36,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)
Location: Hybrid, with head office in Hampstead, London
It’s a hugely exciting time at Anthony Nolan as scientific research promises to inform and transform the ways in which we treat blood cancer and blood disorders. We need a talented senior officer to help develop and deliver our PR and communications to raise the profile of our lifesaving research and vital policy work so we can have even greater impact for patients.
With a focus on key audiences in science, healthcare and policy, you will use media relations, media partnerships, networks and other public facing campaign platforms to grow our reach and influence to help create a future where every patient that needs us can survive and thrive.
You will
- Develop and deliver PR plans and tactics to secure impactful media coverage for our policy, clinical and life sciences work.
- Have strong national and specialist media relations experience and a successful track record in delivering media coverage for medical research and health policy stories.
- Thrive building relationships with a diverse range of people including journalists, scientists, patient storytellers and senior leadership.
- Have an understanding of, and interest in, current and emerging health policy issues and medical research.
- Be proactive in seizing opportunities to react to the news agenda, maximizing the chance to deploy our policy positions and messaging.
- Be a key member of the ambitious Communications and Engagement team, working collaboratively with colleagues and building relationships for success.
