We are looking for a Patient Appeal Manager to join our team, working across Engagement and Fundraising.
Title: Patient Appeal Manager
Salary: £42,000 per annum
Contract: 12-month fixed term
Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)
Location: Hybrid, with head office in Hampstead, London
Sadly, not every patient currently finds a matching donor on the stem cell register. This role will work with patients, and their families, who have been told there currently isn’t a matching donor on the register. Through this incredibly difficult time, some patients and families find strength in sharing their story with hope of helping others, inspiring people to join the stem cell register, fundraising to support our lifesaving work and raising awareness of Anthony Nolan. This role will lead relationships with these families, bringing together colleagues across the organisation to help people make a lifesaving impact through their story.
We are looking for someone who is an excellent relationship manager, with the ability to inspire, empower and manage difficult conversations with sensitivity. You will take a collaborative approach to working with colleagues across Register Development, Fundraising, Communications and the wider organisation, unlocking opportunities and connections, driving impact and championing patient appeals.
This role offers the chance to make a significant impact by driving awareness, fundraising and donor recruitment while providing excellent supporter experience, ultimately bring forward the day when every patient who needs us can survive and thrive.
Essential Attributes
- Experience of leading cross-team projects
- Experience of working with beneficiaries, service users or patients and the ability to manage sensitive relationships
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to prioritise a workload which includes project delivery, day-to-day activities and emerging opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and motivate a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to drive process improvements and innovation.
