The Mid-Value Philanthropy Manager will play a key role in advancing Anthony Nolan’s mission through driving a mid-level giving programme that will create sustainable partnerships that will enable Anthony Nolan’s life-saving work. The Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for nurturing relationships with existing and prospective supporters specifically to increase annual donations and to deepen relationships. Working collaboratively across teams, the Philanthropy Manager will develop and implement tailored fundraising cultivation and stewardship strategies, and collaborate with colleagues to identify key engagement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation, and senior volunteers to identify high-value opportunities.
  • Manage, develop, and steward a portfolio of existing major supporters and new prospective supporters who have the capacity to give at four and five-figure gift levels.
  • Develop strategic and personalised solicitation, and stewardship plans for an existing portfolio of supporters.
  • Influence and shape project development by ensuring supporter needs are considered.
  • Represent the voice of the supporter to place them at the heart of the strategy.
  • Some lower-level trust and foundation grant applications (small Trust Mailing).
Essential Attributes
  • Significant experience of successful fundraising of four and five-figure gifts.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent relationship manager with the ability to engage external and internal stakeholders, and leverage connections.
  • A keen networker.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office programmes, database management, and web-based technologies such as SharePoint and MS Teams.
