Key responsibilities
- Development, maintenance and evolution of key Power BI dashboards to build a holistic overview of marketing and advertising activities.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders across register development, fundraising, youth, brand, individual giving, CRM, and social teams to deliver accurate data, tracking and reporting for campaigns.
- Tracking, tagging & governing data: Leading creation and maintenance of UTMs, QR codes, vanity URLs and tracking parameters across all campaigns.
- Managing day-to-day GA4 and Google Tag Manager operational tasks (e.g., verifying events, flagging issues, minor tag updates).
- Maintaining marketing data documentation including a data dictionary and event catalogue.
- Monitoring data quality and escalating anomalies to the Digital Advertising & Performance Manager and data engineering teams.
- Reporting & analyses: Maintain and update recurring performance reports.
- Populate templates and data sources for dashboards.
- Conduct tactical analysis to support decision-making (channel benchmarks, creative impact, engagement patterns).
- Produce summary insights for stakeholders in clear, accessible formats.
- Supporting the Digital Advertising & Performance Manager via finance administration: PO creation, invoice processing and goods receipting for paid media spend.
- Financial tracking spreadsheets to ensure accuracy of spend, pacing and reconciliations.
Essential attributes
- Proven track record of experience as an analyst.
- Microsoft Excel skills, including data cleaning, lookups/joins, automations, pivoting and structured problem‑solving.
- Proficiency with Power BI including data modelling, connecting multiple data sources, and structuring datasets for efficient report and dashboard builds from scratch.
- High level understanding of data infrastructure, integration and systems like Supermetrics, Azure Data Factory and Databricks; data pipelines and cloud data platforms.
- Experience with tracking and analysis tools including Google Analytics 4, HotJar and Google Tag Manager.
- Demonstrable track record of successfully using data‑led insights to support continuous improvement in marketing, advertising and/or communications contexts.
Desirable attributes
- Understanding of ad platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn and Snapchat.
- Confident and proactive in attending workshops, meetings and cross‑team forums to share insights, support stakeholder understanding of data, and help promote progress in Marketing Analysis across Anthony Nolan.
- Understanding and willingness to learn about relevant legislation and regulations affecting personal data, including GDPR.
