My Client based in the UK and Mediterranean who are successful Ship builders and repairers are looking to develop their team further. Due to restructure and expansion, opportunities have arisen within their already successful team. This is an opportunity to beat the windy, rainy weather and work in very nice warm sunshine.

Applicants for Ship Repair Manager ideally will have:

  • Experience in Management within Ship Repair/Naval Sector.
  • Engineering, mechanical or Naval degree or qualifications.
  • IT Literate.
  • Fluent English (Spanish a bonus).
  • Flexible and reliable.
  • Willing to work hard and contribute as part of a team.
  • Able to meet Deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Read and interpret specifications, understand and read drawings, review all aspects of project life cycle.
  • Understand contract and schedule requirements, labour lodging, sub contractor requirements and material procurement.
  • Ability to project plan and estimate project time scales for each project, liaise with various trades, foreman and subcontractors.
  • Manage all aspects if required.
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all works carried out to full Health and Safety, quality and ISO environment Compliance.
  • Able to deal with multiple aspects or project and assignments at once.
  • Able to map out man hour costs per project.
