About the role and team
You will provide high-quality advice to charity clients, managing matters from instruction to completion. Based in either our Manchester or Birmingham office you will work within the Charities Governance team, managing your own caseload and working on larger projects as part of a team. Work will range from regulatory advice involving the Charity Commission to redrafting governing documents, mergers, supervising charity registration work and setting up trading subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charity client instructions and provide practical advice
- Draft legal documentation and manage files
- Build strong client relationships and manage billing
- Supervise paralegals and executives
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience in a charity governance lawyer role is essential
- Strong drafting skills are essential with an eye for detail
