We’re ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers, and known for our specialist expertise across sectors with a strong social purpose. As a Public Procurement Disputes Associate/Senior Associate, you’ll advise on high-profile cases and help shape outcomes that matter to communities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading procurement disputes from initial advice through to resolution, settlement, or litigation.
- Advising on complex matters under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023.
- Working with a diverse client base across health and social care, housing, local government, and the charity sector.
- Managing a varied caseload while collaborating with senior colleagues and mentoring junior team members.
- Delivering training and support to clients navigating the changing procurement landscape.
- (Optional) Getting involved in business development and non-contentious procurement work if that’s something you enjoy.
What we’re looking for:
- A qualified solicitor within procurement disputes (experience under the Procurement Act 2023 or Provider Selection Regime is a bonus, but not essential).
- A good grasp of litigation procedure, including the Civil Procedure Rules, and confident advising on merits and resolution strategies.
- Experience working with regulated or public sector clients.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal points clearly to a wide audience.
- A team player who enjoys taking ownership, developing others, and contributing to a positive team culture.
