Associate or Solicitor – Housing Litigation
Are you a passionate Housing Litigation Solicitor, Associate, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive Advocate looking to take the next step in your career?
Our Manchester office is expanding, and we’re looking for a skilled legal professional to join our dynamic and supportive team.
At Anthony Collins Solicitors, we’re proud to advise and represent housing associations, local authorities, charitable landlords, and co‑operatives across England. You’ll play a key role in delivering expert legal advice and advocacy that makes a real difference to the communities we serve.
Within this role you will manage a varied and rewarding caseload, including:
- Defending disrepair claims, and supervising legal assistants
- Securing and defending anti‑social behaviour injunctions
- Prosecuting under the Environmental Protection Act
- Handling possession claims, including Equality Act and mental capacity defences
- Resolving residential leasehold and shared ownership disputes
- Providing housing management advice, carrying out policy reviews, and delivering legislative updates
Your Team:
You’ll be part of a close‑knit, ten‑person team based in Manchester, collaborating closely with colleagues in our 17‑strong Housing Litigation team across Birmingham and Manchester. We pride ourselves on being supportive, approachable, and highly skilled.
About the candidate
For this role the candidate we desire the following experience:
- Experienced in housing law or residential leasehold litigation, with a solid understanding of the legal landscape
- Confident in advocacy, and enthusiastic about representing clients at hearings
- A collaborative team player with effective delegation skills and a supportive approach
- Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with ease
- An excellent communicator, committed to delivering clear, practical, and commercially sound legal advice
