Role Overview
The focus of the role will be to carry out electrical design and drawing work within the Electrical & Electronic team at AB Dynamics. This will require experience of creating and working with electrical drawings in an industrial machinery context including small mobile robotic industrial machinery and/or bench-top industrial machinery utilising PCB’s and complex cable harnesses and/or experience of control panels, control systems and 3-phase systems to the relevant industry and safety standards.
What will you be doing?
- Form the Electrical and Electronics drawing office for AB Dynamics.
- Deliver the migration of all Electrical and Electronic drawings into a format compliant with our ERP system.
- Generate and maintain accurate and detailed drawings, parts lists, build manuals, etc. for large and small industrial machinery.
- Owner of the Electrical & Electronic Engineering release process to the wider business.
- Analyse existing and future designs to enable efficient, cost-effective manufacture and/or assembly.
- Support the manufacturing team during production/assembly and service, installation and commissioning teams.
What are we looking for?
- Experience of creating cable harness drawings, routing layouts, single line diagrams, build drawings, electrical schematics, parts lists using AutoCAD LT.
- Ideally HND or Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline, although exceptional candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
- Trained to IPC-620 for cable harness assemblies, so you can provide the capability to raise the standard of our cable harness drawings.
