In this role, you will work with leading global organisations across many sectors - including FMCG, retail, and agri-food clients - to design and deliver supplier engagement, responsible sourcing and due diligence programmes. You will play a key role in translating sustainability ambition into practical, scalable implementation across complex global value chains. As a Senior Consultant, you will take ownership of project delivery, contribute to client relationships, and support the development of junior team members. You will also contribute to business development and thought leadership, working closely with colleagues across Anthesis’ global teams.

  • Manage multiple projects and workstreams concurrently, coordinating internal teams and project inputs.
  • Lead the development of client deliverables, including reports, presentations, tools and dashboards.
  • Translate complex technical topics (e.g. Scope 3, supply chain risks) into clear, actionable insights.
  • Support clients to design and implement supplier engagement programmes, including primary data collection and validation.
  • Conduct and oversee value chain mapping, risk assessments and gap analyses across environmental and social topics.
  • Develop and implement due diligence approaches, policies and procedures aligned with regulatory and voluntary frameworks.
  • Support clients in delivering Scope 3 and decarbonisation strategies, including supplier-facing interventions.
  • Analyse large and complex datasets to generate insights and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key day-to-day point of contact.
  • Support clients in understanding and addressing sustainability risks, impacts and opportunities across their value chains.
  • Contribute to a trusted advisor relationship, supporting long-term client impact and account growth.
  • Facilitate client meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Provide guidance, oversight and support to Junior Consultants and Consultants.
  • Review and quality assure outputs produced by junior team members.
  • Support capability building across the team, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals, pitches and client presentations.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client engagements.
  • Support the development of new service offerings, tools and thought leadership.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

  • 5+ years’ experience in sustainability, consulting, or a related field.
  • Experience working on supply chain sustainability, responsible sourcing, or supplier engagement programmes.
  • Strong understanding of key sustainability topics including Scope 3, decarbonisation, and/or human rights and environmental due diligence.
  • Experience managing projects and delivering high-quality outputs for clients.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience working with large datasets and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for different audiences.
