Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities
We are looking for experienced researchers to join the top‑ranked global Business Intelligence team at Wallbrook, part of Anthesis. You will have proven experience working in a fast‑paced research environment, excellent qualitative analytical skills, and a track record of producing high quality research for use in a commercial setting. You will have a strong knowledge of international and regional business and political environments, as well as an innate sense of curiosity about international affairs, business and global markets more generally. We are looking for specialists to be based out of our offices in London, South Africa, Dubai and Colombia.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex open source and human intelligence‑led investigative assignments (including pre‑transactional integrity due diligence checks and other bespoke investigations);
- Write concise and cogent reports that weave in research findings with an in-depth contextualised analysis of key issues and other pertinent findings;
- Deliver written and verbal briefings to senior management and clients on research findings;
- Prepare proposals for new business;
- Support the development of our human source network in regions of expertise;
- Once comfortable with our house style and research methodologies, assist in training new team members and proofreading reports.
Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise
Essential:
- Fluency reading and writing English in a commercial context and at least one modern language;
- 1-6 years’ full‑time post‑graduate work experience in the corporate intelligence industry and/or another relevant investigative background;
- Experience using open source research tools such as LexisNexis and Factiva, as well as regional and language‑specific databases and media sources;
- Ability to plan and manage multifaceted research projects from the proposal stage to delivering our work to the client;
- A working knowledge of financial, commercial and legal concepts;
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university;
- Professional proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
Candidates should also have demonstrable skills in the following areas:

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- A proactive, can‑do mindset and willingness to work outside job specifications when required;
