Wallbrook (part of Anthesis Group) is seeking highly motivated graduates to join our team of investigative due diligence researchers. The successful candidates will have completed (or will be studying towards) a qualitative research degree – in history, politics, languages or other similar fields – and be fluent in at least one foreign language. We are interested in candidates with fluency in a variety of languages, particularly Arabic, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Italian, Greek and French. We also welcome applications from candidates with more niche languages.

The due diligence team at Anthesis Group provides leading global intelligence and compliance risk services, and specialises in enhanced due diligence investigations. Our team's regional and sectoral expertise help the world's foremost organisations make informed, ethical decisions about the professionals and businesses they work with, the assets they acquire, and where and how they operate.

As an Analyst in our Due Diligence team, you will begin your career specialising in open‐source investigative research. You will contribute to the production of due diligence reports that identify major compliance red flags associated with companies or individuals, including corruption risks, political exposure, sanctions, and other integrity-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct open-source due diligence research across multiple jurisdictions, analysing a wide range of sources to identify potential compliance risks.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports summarising findings related to corruption, political exposure, sanctions, and other integrity concerns.
  • Work on diverse cases, shifting between different topics and geographies—for example, assessing a complex legal dispute in the US before analysing an offshore corporate structure in another jurisdiction.
  • Progress over time into region‐specific research aligned with your language skills and regional expertise.
  • Navigate complex, cross-border risk landscapes and apply sound judgement when evaluating sources and information.
  • Collaborate with senior staff on more complex projects as you develop.
  • Build subject‐matter expertise in regional regulatory and compliance risks.
  • Contribute to training new team members once fully onboarded.
  • Support business development activities where needed.

Once fully trained, analysts will expand the scope of their work – taking on more complicated projects in conjunction with senior staff; developing regional expertise in regulatory and compliance risks; training new members of staff; and taking on business development responsibilities. For exceptional candidates, our analyst role lays the foundations for career progression at Anthesis.

Why Apply to Anthesis:

  • Training: We pride ourselves on producing market‐leading work. To maintain these high standards, we provide comprehensive one-to-one training. New analysts work closely with an experienced researcher over the first 4‐6 months of their career to bring them up to speed and equip them with all the skills necessary to become an expert in due diligence and compliance.
  • Career development: Having mastered our core entry level product, analysts are exposed to a range of career paths. As a fast‐expanding company, we ensure that employees are given all the tools to develop professionally – whether it’s in-depth research, business development, client exposure or management.
  • Company culture: Anthesis is a dynamic company with a friendly, young and energetic team that support each other on work. All members of our team work together to create an environment in which our staff are able to reach their potential. We offer competitive pay, clear career progression, and visa sponsorship to those that need it.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong professional work ethic, with a self‐starter attitude and a commitment to taking ownership of personal learning and development.
  • Basic understanding of, and interest in, due diligence and compliance risks; experience within a commercial research environment is highly desirable.
  • Fluent written and verbal English, suitable for use in a commercial context.
  • Excellent research and writing abilities, including strong attention to detail and the capacity to identify, interpret, and summarise information from diverse sources under time pressure.
  • Strong time‐management skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in at least one foreign language. Languages of particular interest include Arabic, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Italian, Greek and French, though applicants with other language skills are also encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated interest in international affairs and global business.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Receptiveness to feedback and willingness to learn and develop.

Benefits:

  • Work within a highly motivated team in an innovative and rapidly growing global company.
  • Opportunity to have a direct impact and be a key part of the growth and development of the business and the team.
  • Exposure to a wide range of clients and projects on a global basis.
  • Competitive salary in line with experience and skills.
  • Competitive benefits including flexible working, 25 days holiday and two volunteering days off and the day off for your Birthday!
  • An opportunity to participate in the Anthesis Employee Participation Plan (EPP), an industry-pioneering employee incentive plan that allows all employees to be rewarded for the growth in the equity value of Anthesis.
  • Cooperative, supportive and open working atmosphere.
