We are looking for a Brand & Communications Associate Strategy Director who can help organisations act and communicate meaningfully in the world. This is a strategic brand building role with a strong purpose and sustainability lens, combining commercial brand thinking with cultural and societal impact. Able to deliver cultural impact and commercial results for the brand. The ideal candidate is someone who can turn complexity into compelling clarity: shaping brand narratives, positioning, and communication strategies that drive both business results and positive change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects end-to-end with minimal guidance, and support senior colleagues with independence and proactivity.
- Support junior team members with effective delegation and briefing.
- Confidently define the narrative and content for new business meetings and support client services with defining process for SOWs.
- Identify opportunities to improve project design and processes and bring fresh ideas to growth opportunities.
- Regular author of external facing articles/reviews that can also act to inspire team members to always raise the bar.
An Associate Strategy Director will:
- Research markets, audiences, culture and category dynamics.
- Identify sharp insights that unlock strong brand ideas.
- Develop compelling and creative brand positioning, purpose frameworks and comms strategies.
- Write clear creative briefs and strategic narratives that progress or unlock clients' problems.
- Able to demonstrate the commercial impact of work.
- Support or lead client presentations and workshops.
- Work closely with creatives to make the work stronger.
- Build strong day-to-day client relationships - build trust to handle feedback and navigate difficult conversations with clients.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
- Brand & comms fundamentals.
- Brand positioning and narrative development.
- Communications planning and messaging.
- Understanding of how brands show up culturally.
- Strategic thinking.
- Ability to structure problems and arguments.
- Turning research into clear, actionable insight.
- Strong point of view, not just synthesis.
- Excellent writing (decks, briefs, strategy docs).
- Confident verbal communication with clients and teams.
- Ability to explain complex ideas simply.
- Comfortable partnering with creatives.
- Improves work through discussion and challenge.
- Builds trust with clients over time.
- Genuine interest in sustainability, impact, ethics or social change.
Your Benefits:
- Work within a highly motivated team in an innovative and rapidly growing global company.
- Opportunity to have a direct impact and be a key part of the growth and development of the business and the team.
- Competitive salary in line with experience and skills.
- Competitive benefits including flexible working, 25 days holiday and two volunteering days off and the day off for your Birthday!
- An opportunity to participate in the Anthesis Employee Participation Plan (EPP), an industry-pioneering employee incentive plan that allows all employees to be rewarded for the growth in the equity value of Anthesis.
- Cooperative, supportive and open working atmosphere.
