Locations: UK, Netherlands, Spain or Sweden. EMEA Associate Director GHG/Net Zero technical specialist. We are seeking an experienced technical consultant who specialises in delivering complex GHG inventories, target setting, developing decarbonisation plans and undertaking QA/QS, ideally with experience in FLAG. This individual will be responsible for ensuring a high level of technical rigour and delivering an excellent service to our clients. We also expect this role to train and support others across the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, sell and deliver existing and new GHG inventory services, working directly with clients throughout this process.
- Provide leading support on progressive climate action.
- Write proposals for new business, in collaboration with the existing team.
- Engage independently with a wide variety of clients, often in senior roles within their business.
- Develop and review technical deliverables, drawing on expertise from across the wider team and rest of the business.
- Attend and lead client meetings, where necessary, for development of opportunities and project delivery.
- Manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision to meet tight deadlines.
- Learn and develop your technical expertise, supported by our technical directors across the sustainability teams.
- Mentor more junior consultants including providing line management, where necessary.
- Contribute to Anthesis’ innovation and thought leadership around corporate climate action.
- Provide technical leadership to junior team members.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree.
- 5+ years’ experience in relevant work or research position.
- Excellent project management/direction and team leadership.
- Strong numeracy with comfortable, advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
- Deep technical knowledge of the GHG protocol and SBTi guidance.
- Experience in delighting clients, preferably within a corporate context while challenging them to deliver maximum sustainability impact.
- Strong communication and consulting skills; particularly an understanding of the sustainability challenges that organisations face in today’s climate.
- Active and encouraging team player.
- Experience with digital tools related to GHG emissions.
