The opportunity Anthem, a Resonant Group company, is looking for a commercially minded, strategic and highly organised Account Director to join our award-winning healthcare communications team. You will lead major client accounts and teams, acting as the senior day-to-day client partner and taking responsibility for account strategy, client relationships, commercial performance, team development and organic growth. What we are looking for You will have proven experience in a healthcare communications agency, leading UK and/or global pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare accounts. You will also bring:
- Experience leading major accounts, projects and client relationships
- Confidence providing strategic counsel and guiding senior client decision-making
- The ability to translate client objectives into effective, insight-led communications programmes
- Strong commercial leadership, including responsibility for budgets, forecasting, profitability, resourcing and account health
- A track record of identifying and progressing organic growth opportunities
- Broad experience across media relations, corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, patient engagement, content and digital communications
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare and pharmaceutical environment, including ABPI, legal and regulatory requirements
- The ability to shape high-quality, strategically aligned and compliant client work
- A curious and critical mind, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and improve outcomes
- An entrepreneurial mindset, with the initiative to identify opportunities and turn them into action
- Strong leadership skills and experience developing Account Managers and Senior Account Managers
- Excellent judgement, organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to balance client service, quality, team wellbeing and profitability
