This global law firm is looking for a Business Development Manager aligned to the Corporate practice group. This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The role is a classic full mix of legal marketing and business development, and whilst it’s fast paced and busy, there’s very much a good support structure in place, including a strong bids team to support on RFPs and pitches. It’s also worth noting that the BD team is under new leadership and continued growth is very much part of the future plans, so whilst this is a fixed term contract, other opportunities may arise as the team expands.
Key responsibilities include:
- Keeping up to date with market knowledge for the Corporate practice and making commercial suggestions;
- Working with the practice group leaders on driving BD plans and activities;
- Developing tailored content for the group including pitch content and marketing materials;
- Managing conference sponsorships and strategic events;
- Identifying and leveraging cross selling opportunities;
- Supporting on wider firm-wide BD initiatives.
Ideally you will be a legal BD professional in the legal sector and have had some experience of working in a Corporate or other transactional practice group. The firm are open to speaking to Senior Executives stepping up or Managers looking for a new challenge.
