Second-in-command role in leading criminal/regulatory barristers’ chambers with a business development focus.
This leading criminal/regulatory barristers’ chambers is looking for a second-in-command to support the Director of Chambers in maintaining and developing the reputation and quality of work. In particular, it is looking to raise its game with bigger and better senior level and regulatory work to complement the impressive barristers within Chambers, some of whom are at the top of their game.
Specifically, the role will involve:
- Working with the Chambers’ Director on the Chambers’ strategy;
- Significant business development – networking and undertaking a proactive approach to winning new clients and business;
- Practice management – working with individual barristers to assist them in developing their practices;
- Managing the firm’s directory submissions with the aim of improving rankings;
- Assisting in the management of the clerk’s room;
- Deputising for the Chambers’ Director.
You will be a highly experienced criminal barristers’ clerk with a proven track record of winning new clients. Alternatively, an experienced client-facing business developer from a law firm with experience of winning criminal/fraud/regulatory work will also be considered.
