Business Development Manager role in a UK law firm, aligned to Corporate with a large focus on the Retail & Leisure sectors. London with hybrid working. The role supports the Corporate group in a popular midsized law firm, with opportunities to work on interesting sub-areas such as targeting startups and exploring crossovers with the retail and leisure sectors. The role will also involve support and line management of a BD Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive BD strategy for the Corporate groups, including Corporate transactions, IP & Commercial and Employment.
  • Lead the firmwide Retail and Leisure sector group strategy.
  • Act as a mentor to the BD Assistant in the team.
  • Develop credentials and RFP responses.
  • Support on internal communications for the practice and sector groups, ensuring internal knowledge sharing.
  • Support on the delivery of key thought leadership campaigns.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced legal BD Manager with exposure to corporate, and experience of driving BD and client development strategies. Experience of coaching or mentoring junior team members would be a bonus.
