Our client is an awarding tour operator who specialise in creating bespoke tailormade luxury itineraries to worldwide destinations.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Travel Team Manager to manage and support a team of travel specialists for the Asia and Australasia region.
As The Travel Team Manager, you will be responsible for sales performance within your region through the effective leadership, support and motivation of your sales team in your region to achieve sales targets, supervising and assisting in the daily work of the sales team to maximise conversion rates.
To be considered, candidates must have previous team management experience within the travel industry with exceptional travel product knowledge of the Asia and Australasia region.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis – South West London
Travel Team Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
Efficient and supportive management of all members of your sales team.
Weekly one-to-one with travel specialists to discuss sales team performance and propose strategies and solutions.
Develop personalised coaching strategies to support each team member\’s growth.
Working closely with the Senior Management team on overall strategy planning for your region including budgeting and forecasting, and regular reporting.
Ongoing monitoring of your region to ensure it is delivering on the agreed strategy and KPIs. This will include input into quarterly board reports.
Running the recruitment process for your region and planning the onboarding for new starters to ensure that all relevant training is provided.
Carrying out appraisals for your direct reports.
Travel Team Manager Experience Required:
Previous team management experience within the travel industry is essential
Passion and product knowledge of Asia and Australasia
Strong understanding of commercial operations within the travel industry
Proven track record of managing a high performing sales team.
Ability to deliver high quality results in a timely fashion
A proven track record of excellence in personal sales and service
Travel Team Manager Salary and Benefits:
Base Salary up to £56,000 + Commission OTE £60,000
23 days annual leave, increasing one day per full year of service up to 30 days
