Our client is a market leading luxury cruise company offering some of the most unforgettable travel experiences worldwide. They offer a bespoke high-end programme to destinations across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
They are now recruiting for an experienced Travel Commercial Manager to join the team and support the sales, commercial and marketing teams. This is a pivotal role supporting the company's commercial and sales objectives through strategic planning, operational execution, and cross-functional collaboration with the objective to drive revenue growth, manage promotional activity, and maintain key industry relationships.
The candidate should have previous travel industry experience in a commercial or product management and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. This role is offered on a 12 month maternity cover. This is a hybrid role with the office based in Surrey.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Monitor pricing and inventory to optimise promotional effectiveness and suggest improvements for future campaigns.
- Generate monthly business performance reports using systems such as Tableau.
- Support the senior management team in setting and monitoring targets for commercial agreements.
- Collaborate with the Sales Director to respond to promotional requests from Business Development Managers and identify strategic solutions.
- Lead the creation and distribution of weekly promotional sheets to trade partners.
- Actively pursue new business opportunities by establishing industry contacts, providing training, and sharing product updates.
- Maintain strong relationships with travel agents and tour operators, in coordination with the Sales Support Team.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Previous experience within the travel industry in a commercially based role is essential.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Creative and yet analytical at the same time.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
Salary and Benefits:
- Base salary to £45,000 based on experience.
