This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative pathology team, using advanced digital pathology technology to report a diverse range of routine and complex cases.

Whether based at one of our UK laboratories in Warwick or Newmarket, or working remotely, you'll have access to a supportive network of colleagues and opportunities to share knowledge, discuss challenging cases and continue developing your expertise.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Produce high-quality histopathology reports from digital histology whole slide images (WSIs), working to agreed daily quotas and turnaround times.
  • Report a range of cases, including adjunctive testing such as histochemical stains, PARR clonality testing and immunohistochemistry.
  • Work directly with submitting clinicians, responding to queries and providing guidance around sampling and reports.
  • Take part in pathology discussions, including journal clubs, cytology-histology rounds and case reviews.
  • Support and develop the histology laboratory team through training, SOP development, guidance on complex sample trimming and internal QA/QC.
  • Maintain professional standards through ongoing CPD and relevant board-certification requirements.
  • Contribute to research, teaching, education, business development and marketing initiatives that support the continued development of our laboratory service.

The expected minimum workload is 40 tissues per 8-hour working day, with a strong focus on maintaining both efficiency and diagnostic accuracy.

Essential

  • Recognised degree in Veterinary Medicine with MRCVS registration.
  • Board certification (ACVP/ECVP), RCPath (Veterinary Pathology), or board eligible.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload.

Desirable

  • Experience working with digital pathology systems.
  • At least 3 years' experience in diagnostic pathology.
  • Experience delivering high-volume, high-accuracy reporting.
  • Familiarity with dictation software (e. g Dragon) and Microsoft Office.
