Antech is seeking an experienced Microbiology and PCR Manager to lead our department in Warwick. You will supervise daily operations, perform laboratory analyses supporting veterinary clients, and oversee key specialties including microbiology, parasitology, and mycology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage departmental staff, oversee onboarding, training, and resolve escalated issues.
  • Coordinate daily operations, plan workloads, and ensure resource availability.
  • Maintain equipment and inventory, liaising with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with QA and health & safety standards, review SOPs.
  • Collaborate across teams, communicate updates, and support client queries.
  • Prepare reports, support budgeting, and maintain a tidy work environment.
  • Supervise visitors and stay updated on industry developments.
  • Promote integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct.

Work Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences or equivalent
  • At least 2 years management experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a high-throughput diagnostic lab
  • Experience with veterinary samples (desirable)
  • Knowledge of ISO 15189 or ISO 17025 (desirable)
