Clinical Pathologist
Permanent
Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Participation in a Saturday service rota required.
We’re excited to welcome a Clinical Pathologist to our expanding Antech UK team. This is a great chance to join a collaborative, international network of Clinical and Anatomic Pathologists. At Antech, part of Mars Petcare, we are all united by one mission: A Better World For Pets.
You’ll work with a varied caseload, ranging from first‑opinion submissions to complex referral hospital cases, ensuring your work stays diverse, challenging, and rewarding.
Responsibilities
- Examination and reporting of cytology samples – fine needle aspirates, effusions, CSF, synovial fluid.
- Evaluation and interpretation of clinical pathology results, including haematology, biochemistry, endocrinology and microbiology.
- Evaluation and reporting of flow cytometry.
- Evaluation and reporting of bone marrow histology.
- Contributing to the training of clinical pathology residents as well as visiting residents.
- Contributing to the training of lab technicians in blood film examination.
- Taking part in seminars and journal clubs.
Requirements
- Board certified by the European College of Veterinary Pathologists, American College of Veterinary Pathologists or Royal College of Pathologists.
- You will be organised, hardworking and self‑motivated with an enthusiasm for science.
- Candidates must be able to work within a multidisciplinary team but also autonomously within the laboratory environment.
