Salary: Competitive DoE

Location: Dick White Referrals (DWR)

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday (will consider 4 days a week)

The role

Antech are looking for an experienced Anatomic Pathologist to join our growing team within our state-of-the-art Laboratory based at Dick White Referrals (DWR) Referral Hospital. The primary purpose of this role is to produce high quality histopathology reports to the Antech laboratory customer base in line with expected daily requirements and standards, working alongside the pathology team, submitting clinicians and wider laboratory staff.

As our laboratory is located within the busy hospital at DWR, lots of our work is from referred patients in house. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a wider clinical team of Anatomic and Clinical Pathologists at Antech Diagnostics, part of Mars Science and Diagnostics, together making a better world for pets.

Primary duties include:

  • Produce high quality histopathology reports in line with agreed daily quotas, including reporting of adjunctive tests such as histochemical stains, PARR clonality testing and immunohistochemistry.
  • Liaise directly with clinicians regarding histopathology sampling and reports.
  • Participate in internal discussion and rounds within the pathology team.
  • Provision of support and training to the histology laboratory team, including development of SOP’s, guidance on trimming complex samples and internal QA/QC.
  • Ensuring professional standards are met by fulfilling CPD requirements.
  • Contribution to research projects, teaching rounds, education, business development and marketing activities with the purpose of maintaining and enhancing the laboratory service as agreed by the Director of Pathology – Europe.
