To assist the Exposure Management Team to provide an exposure monitoring function for Antares Global Management Limited with particular responsibility for designated accounts.

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Degree level in relevant subject (computer programming/mathematical/scientific)
  • Desirable: Masters in relevant subject (computer programming/mathematics/scientific)
  • Working towards ACII qualification, or completed ACII qualification

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensuring the relevant line of business portfolio is managed and monitored effectively and accurately
  • Checking that data is cleansed and entered into relevant systems and any issues are flagged
  • Checking that the required level of geocoding is achieved for all accounts and any issues are flagged in a timely manner
  • Ensuring high quality and accurate data in all systems in line with underwriting slips
  • Ensuring timely data entry into the system
  • Identifying potential issues with data entry
  • Identifying potential issues with the quarterly roll up information
  • Advising HOEM where any limits are breached
  • Producing proposals/memos advising of any limit breaches and actions to be taken
  • Producing limit proposal documentation to present to HOEM for sign off
  • Ensuring all relevant reinsurance information is kept up to date and applied correctly
  • Understanding reinsurance information regarding the relevant lines of business
  • Ensuring checks are in place to obtain correct net and final net positions
  • Training team members in all aspects of relevant line of business portfolio
  • Ensuring team members continually develop their understanding of the relevant lines of businesses
  • Maintaining a good relationship with the underwriting team and gaining positive feedback
  • Obtaining and collating the relevant LOB estimated exposures both pre and post event
  • Liaising with CPA, Underwriters and Claims to obtain information
  • Providing regular updates to stakeholders
  • Ensuring process documentation is kept up to date
  • Updating any Exposure Management tool for increased efficiency and accuracy through automation
  • Validating tools
  • Ensuring tools provide accurate monitoring metrics
  • Progressing the tool to expand into other territories and perils where possible
  • Documenting any Exposure Management tool and validating it if relevant
  • Progressing project work for relevant lines of business
  • Identifying key tasks involved and progressing project work from start to finish
  • Ensuring team members participate in the project where possible
  • Keeping the HOEM updated regarding any project work
  • Documenting any project clearly and validating it if relevant
  • Keeping all related documentation up to date
  • Attending appropriate Market conferences
  • Managing day-to-day queries within the catastrophe modelling team
