Provides high-quality management and financial reporting for the Antares Global Entities within the retail and legacy divisions across multiple jurisdictions on a FRS102 and IFRS17 basis. This role also expects active engagement in process enhancements.
Responsibilities- Own the technical close process for Antares Global Retail and Legacy entities across multiple GAAPs, ensuring timely and accurate capture of financial information.
- Deliver accurate, timely management and financial information in compliance with IFRS and local reporting requirements.
- Produce monthly and quarterly Management Metrics Reports (MMRs).
- Perform monthly and quarterly financial reviews of technical results, including variance analysis versus plan and prior year.
- Own and explain technical results for Antares Global Retail and Legacy entities, including identification and investigation of unusual in-month movements.
- Prepare currency balance sheets as required.
- Produce country by country financial analysis for Group reporting.
- Provide finance inputs to support regulatory reporting requirements.
- Prepare statutory financial statements.
- Act as the primary point of contact with external auditors on technical reporting matters.
- Continuously improve processes and maintain a strong financial control environment.
- Support finance transformation and process improvement projects from entity to Group level.
- Take responsibility for personal and team Health & Safety at all times.
- Ensure customers are treated fairly in line with Conduct Risk Policy and related procedures.
- Qualified Accountant with relevant industry experience required.
- Strong Insurance Technical Knowledge.
- Has led or played a significant role in the technical close of a general insurer (both live and run off scenarios).
- Good analytical and MI reporting skills.
- Ability to apply process improvement.
- Should have ability to manage communication with stakeholders/external auditors and to co-ordinate tasks between internal teams.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- High degree of organisation, task planning and time management.
- Familiar & capable of working with internal/external reporting deadlines in line with regulatory requirements.
