Provides high-quality management and financial reporting for the Antares Global Entities within the retail and legacy divisions across multiple jurisdictions on a FRS102 and IFRS17 basis. This role also expects active engagement in process enhancements.

Responsibilities
  • Own the technical close process for Antares Global Retail and Legacy entities across multiple GAAPs, ensuring timely and accurate capture of financial information.
  • Deliver accurate, timely management and financial information in compliance with IFRS and local reporting requirements.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly Management Metrics Reports (MMRs).
  • Perform monthly and quarterly financial reviews of technical results, including variance analysis versus plan and prior year.
  • Own and explain technical results for Antares Global Retail and Legacy entities, including identification and investigation of unusual in-month movements.
  • Prepare currency balance sheets as required.
  • Produce country by country financial analysis for Group reporting.
  • Provide finance inputs to support regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with external auditors on technical reporting matters.
  • Continuously improve processes and maintain a strong financial control environment.
  • Support finance transformation and process improvement projects from entity to Group level.
  • Take responsibility for personal and team Health & Safety at all times.
  • Ensure customers are treated fairly in line with Conduct Risk Policy and related procedures.
Knowledge & Qualifications
  • Qualified Accountant with relevant industry experience required.
Skills & Demonstrable Experience
  • Strong Insurance Technical Knowledge.
  • Has led or played a significant role in the technical close of a general insurer (both live and run off scenarios).
  • Good analytical and MI reporting skills.
  • Ability to apply process improvement.
  • Should have ability to manage communication with stakeholders/external auditors and to co-ordinate tasks between internal teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • High degree of organisation, task planning and time management.
  • Familiar & capable of working with internal/external reporting deadlines in line with regulatory requirements.
