This role includes:

  • Preparing the quarterly financial year forecast for the Syndicate on a Lloyd’s and Group basis for review by the Syndicate FP&A Manager. This includes the technical and non-technical result. This involves converting Underwriting Year Ultimates into a forecast financial year result.
  • Prepare the quarterly Underwriting Result Financial Year commentary vs Plan for the Syndicate, this includes preparing all the analytical files supporting the commentary.
  • Prepare the overall quarterly Syndicate Board Pack including the Underwriting Result commentary, Expenses, Investment Income, Balance Sheet. This involves liaising with other areas of Finance to produce the tables and commentary.
  • Prepare the quarterly Underwriting Year forecast (ROCE) report for distribution to the Executives and Underwriters.
  • Assist the Syndicate FP&A manager in the production of the yearly Financial Year Syndicate and Group Plan.
  • Assist in the production of the yearly Syndicate SBF submission to Lloyd’s.
  • Maintain Syndicate and Group working files – this includes Analytical and calculation files as well as data sets for use by the team and other stakeholders.
  • Produce the Planning Group templates for our Parent Company.
  • Assist in the development of Anaplan by reviewing and conducting user testing as well as providing support in the build of Anaplan UX pages.
  • Support the team in other adhoc FP&A requests.
