We are looking for an Underwriter to join our Marine Excess of Loss team. This role will contribute to the profitable development of the account through disciplined underwriting, market analysis and strong stakeholder relationships, while working within agreed authority and regulatory standards.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to the profitable development and delivery of the Marine Excess of Loss business plan.
• Assess underwriting performance, exposures and wider market trends, recommending appropriate action.
• Build effective relationships with brokers and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively across teams and maintain high standards of communication and conduct.
• Operate within underwriting authority and comply with relevant Lloyd’s standards, policies and regulatory requirements.

What we’re looking for

• Demonstrated underwriting competence, ideally within Marine Excess of Loss or a related class.
• Strong analytical, commercial and relationship-management skills.
• A collaborative approach, sound judgement and commitment to high regulatory and professional standards.
• ACII or another relevant professional qualification is preferred.
