This role includes:

  • Preparing the quarterly financial year forecast for the Syndicate on a Lloyd’s and Group basis for review by the Syndicate FP&A Manager. This includes the technical and non-technical result, involving converting Underwriting Year Ultimates into a forecast financial year result.
  • Preparing the quarterly Underwriting Result Financial Year commentary vs Plan for the Syndicate, including preparing all the analytical files supporting the commentary.
  • Preparing the overall quarterly Syndicate Board Pack including the Underwriting Result commentary, Expenses, Investment Income, Balance Sheet, involving liaising with other areas of Finance to produce the tables and commentary.
  • Preparing the quarterly Underwriting Year forecast (ROCE) report for distribution to the Executives and Underwriters.
  • Assisting the Syndicate FP&A manager in the production of the yearly Financial Year Syndicate and Group Plan.
  • Assisting in the production of the yearly Syndicate SBF submission to Lloyd’s.
  • Maintaining Syndicate and Group working files, including Analytical and calculation files as well as data sets for use by the team and other stakeholders.
  • Producing the Planning Group templates for our Parent Company.
  • Assisting in the development of Anaplan by reviewing and conducting user testing as well as providing support in the build of Anaplan UX pages.
  • Supporting the team in other adhoc FP&A requests.
