  • Purpose of the Role

To lead the consolidation of flash reporting, forecasting and the annual budgeting process.

Working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, you will design, capture and report both financial and non-financial performance information, with a focus on identifying key business drivers and aligning insights with strategic objectives.

This role is central to driving improvements in business analytics and management information through better utilisation of historical data and current commercial information to support more informed, forward-looking decision-making.

You will play a key role in developing business intelligence and data capabilities across the organisation while providing financial insight to support business growth, including new business opportunities, pricing strategies and customer retention initiatives.

The role is responsible for delivering high-quality management information to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making and supporting sustainable business growth.

As part of a small, high-performing central FP&A team within an evolving organisation, you will balance the consistent delivery of high-quality reporting with a continuous improvement mindset and thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance and operational teams to promote an open flow of financial and commercial information.
  • Support the ongoing development of business intelligence capabilities and the effective use of data across the organisation.
  • Develop reporting that provides greater visibility of financial performance across key business drivers, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Produce regular management information packs for the Executive Leadership Team, Board and senior management meetings.
  • Develop and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve business performance reporting and strengthen forecasting accuracy.
  • Support continuous improvement of the rolling forecast process, annual budgeting cycle and long-term planning process.
  • Provide financial analysis, modelling and recommendations to support business growth initiatives, operational efficiencies and strategic investment activities.
  • Partner with the Head of FP&A and CFO on strategic projects and ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Ensure financial processes, systems and controls remain aligned with best practice and governance requirements.

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong commercial acumen gained within large, complex organisations.
  • Excellent written, presentation and communication skills.
  • Highly analytical, with experience managing and interpreting large datasets to identify meaningful business insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leaders.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, together with experience using finance systems and business intelligence/reporting tools.
