Senior Mechanical & Electrical Engineer – Building Services
Location: Oxford | Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (DOE)
Type: Full-Time | Hybrid/Flexible Working
Are you an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer looking to advance your career? We are partnering with a forward-thinking building services consultancy seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team in Oxford . This role offers involvement in diverse, technically challenging projects from concept to completion.
As a Senior Engineer, you will lead surveys, feasibility studies, specifications, and supervise M&E service installations on-site. You will work under the guidance of a Director or Associate, take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and engage with clients.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in mechanical or electrical building services engineering
- Experience with project management from design to installation
- Strong knowledge of UK regulations and H&S standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree-qualified; working towards or already chartered (CEng support provided)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading design and delivery of mechanical or electrical building services projects
- Preparing and reviewing specifications to meet legislative and safety standards
- Supervising on-site contractor work, ensuring quality and compliance
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development
- Attending project meetings and maintaining client relationships
- Supporting fee tenders and business development
