MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide high-standard patient care in accordance with the vision and values in Neurology within the Department of Medicine.
- To provide inpatient care for the Neurology patients admitted to the hospital either as the MRP or as the covering physician during rest hours, weekends, holidays, or vacations of the MRP.
- To provide care to Neurology patients in the ambulatory care facility.
- To provide Neurology consultations services to other divisions within the Department of Medicine and other Departments within the organization during the regular working and the on-call hours.
- To perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic interventions and procedures in patients with neurological disorders.
- To participate in interpreting and reporting neurological procedures such as EEG, Evoked Potential and Nerve Conduction study, and to perform EMG.
- To participate in the on-call coverage in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Division of Neurology, the Department of Medicine.
- To actively participate in Quality Improvement program of the department.
- To provide close supervision of the clinical performance of subordinates and to provide them with a role model, especially those in training.
- To supervise the Neurophysiology Technologists and train them in her/his field of experience.
- To serve on divisional, departmental, and organizational committees as appointed.
- To participate in scientific research, contribute to the department's educational activities and postgraduate training programs in Neurology or Internal Medicine.
- To adhere to all rules and regulations of the Division, department, and organization.
- To comply with all the professional and ethical standards and express adherence to the Medical Staff Bylaws of the organization.
- To show the expected respect, at all times, to patients, their families, colleagues, subordinates, and all other members of the healthcare team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
- Completion of required period of training in Neurology/Neurophysiology.
- American Board/MRCPCH-Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian & New Zealand/DES/CIS/ Diplome di Medico Specialist Italy/SCR Holland/Swedish Board/German Facharzt/Austrian Facharzt/CCST UK/Saudi Board/Arab Board & subboard/Fellowship.
- Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent.
- A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
- Dataflow is a must.
- Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in neurology.
- A registered member of the Saudi Board Council.
- Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
- Positive professional references attesting to the candidate's skills and ethical conduct.
