Antal International has been instructed by a leading international real estate business to source a Head of Finance with the potential to step up to Finance Director in 3 years time. This role provides leadership and day‑to‑day management of the Finance function, ensuring the development of its people, processes and systems.

It will oversee areas including credit control and payroll, with responsibility for maintaining financial controls and continuously reviewing internal processes to identify opportunities for improvement that are efficient and cost‑effective. A key element of the role is to assess Finance systems and drive automation where beneficial.

The position will oversee the preparation of year‑end statutory accounts, manage audit readiness, and ensure all regulatory and compliance activities are completed accurately, on time and within budget. It will also include working closely with external accountants on corporation tax computations and producing the LLP tax return.

The role carries responsibility for managing partners’ financial affairs - including capital, current accounts and tax reserves—while liaising with external tax advisers. In addition, it oversees cash flow and capital reporting, including budgets and forecasts, and maintains an effective relationship with corporate bankers to ensure the business has the liquidity and capital reserves necessary to support ongoing and future growth.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Experienced leader with excellent people management skills and well-developed emotional intelligence.
  • Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders preferably within an LLP.
  • Extensive experience of implementing changes to accounting systems, financial processes and reporting.
  • Significant post qualified ACA.
